Is it linked to the nick, or to the IP address?
wikipedia wrote: The vhost in question must have an A record which points to the IP address from which the connection to the IRC network is being made.
The Reverse DNS for the IP address must point back to the vhost.
Anyways, the specifics of my question...
Do i need seperate vhosts for work and home?

Wikipedia's definition of vhost extends beyond IRC into the DNS world.

For IRC purposes, a vhost simply conceals your real host name. It would be linked to your nick. You can login from any location under your nick, and the vhost will still work.
